A short history and intro.........

Solihull Municipal Club was opened on 14th May 1958, starting its life as a club for the staff of Solihull Municipal Council. Volunteer club members erected the original clubhouse from whatever materials they could find; on completion, the building resembled a wooden cricket pavilion. The 'municipal' title was dropped by Solihull Council in 1968 as their title evolved. From such inauspicious beginnings, the club has grown and flourished, culminating in the redevelopment of a new clubhouse in the mid-1990s.

The continued successful progress of the club from its early days is thanks to the increasing number of local people who have joined and grown the membership. This growth has enabled both the Members Lounge and the Function Room to be completely refurbished. The Club's facilities are also available during the daytime to local businesses for meetings, seminars and training sessions at very reasonable rates, subject to availability and requirements. A large well-lit car park ensures safe off-road parking for members and visitors.
